In March 2024, Anonymous Productions once again challenged societal norms with Fairytales Suck! a bold, empowering, and delightfully irreverent production celebrating women who rewrite their own stories.
Timed to coincide with International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, the production was staged at the Lionel Wendt on March 22nd and 23rd. With wit, satire, and flair, it flipped the script on traditional fairytales—ditching glass slippers and poison apples for agency, voice, and choice.
Fairytales Suck! was more than just a theatrical event; it was a movement. Audiences laughed, cried, and most importantly, reflected on the narratives we perpetuate and the ones we have the power to change. Proceeds helped fund women-focused programs under Sevalanka Foundation, aligning with our mission to uplift communities through empowerment and inclusion.
